I met Sue as my Yoga guru nearly four years ago, to say she was a breath of fresh air is an understatement. >> Kindness and generosity of spirit engulfs you from the moment you meet. >> Her energy is healing and inclusive, no judgement ,no pressure. >> Personally I’ve been through some quite negative moments with accidents and illnesses but when I’ve been able to attend a class her voice alone is the balm I’ve needed. >> The depth she goes to to enhance the practise of yoga is amazing from beautiful musical addition to amazing poetry and chants. >> She is truly a ‘one off’ and I thank her.

I have been practising yoga for over forty years and I have to say that my yoga sessions with Sue Jones are the best I have ever experienced. There are many reasons for this namely: * Sue thoroughly prepares every single session. She is exceptionally knowledgeable on every aspect of yoga and related topics. * Every session has structure and purpose. Breathing exercises followed by a thorough warm up, then a particular yogic stance and ending with meditation. This structure brings familiarity and confidence. * Every session contains additional information so that we learn new aspects of yogic practice every week. For example, we have devoted one week to each of the seven chakras and this has blended seamlessly into our practice. When considering the crown chakra, Sue read out detailed information about this chakra at the start of the session. This then ran effortlessly through the breathing practice, the actual yogic pose and the meditation. Sue also includes beautiful poetry and music to further enhance the sessions. Where possible Sue teaches relevant mudras to direct the flow of prana or life force through the body. She always uses the correct yogic vocabulary and is therefore teaching us key terminology. * What makes the sessions so magical is Sue herself. She is so personable and welcoming. She genuinely cares and wants us to have the very best experience possible. Her explanations are crystal clear. Her guidance is step by step as she models each pose and works through the sessions with us. She reassures us at every possible opportunity and encourages us to succeed. Her voice is melodic and she creates a wonderfully serene atmosphere. Her guided meditation at the end of each session is incredible. Her soothing voice helps you to reach a place of stillness within. Her choice of meditation and music is always wonderful. I have to say that I simply cannot fault Sue as a yoga teacher. Having been in Education for over forty years, lecturing at Liverpool Hope university in Initial Teacher Education, I recognise a competent teacher when I encounter one. Sue demonstrates good practice in the following ways: - her planning and preparation is second to none - her subject knowledge is superb - her love of the subject shines through in everything she does - her resources are always interesting and compliment the session content perfectly. I would - and have done on numerous occasions - recommend Sue wholeheartedly to others seeking a deep and meaningful yoga experience. My sessions with Sue make a real difference to me and my life. Emotionally they calm me. They enable me to connect with my inner self and reach a place of stillness. They set me up for the week! She has taught me strategies for coping with the stresses and strains of everyday life. When I miss her sessions I know about it, I lose that sense of calmness. Physically they have enabled me to remain supple. As I approach my seventieth year this is important to me. I want to maintain a fluidity of movement and balance - and my sessions with Sue help me to achieve this. In short, these sessions feed my body and soul!

Sue has had a profound impact on my yoga journey during the two years I have been attending her classes. Her classes are a perfect balance of challenge and compassion, and Sue has a rare ability to meet each student exactly where they are in ability. I’ve gained not only strength and flexibility, but also greater self-awareness and calm in my daily life. Sue creates a calm, nurturing space where I feel completely supported and at ease. Through her gentle guidance, my confidence has grown, my stress levels have significantly reduced, and my flexibility has improved far more than I ever expected. I always leave her classes feeling relaxed, restored, and deeply grateful.

Sue's classes are excellent, supporting our physical and mental health, as she designs them appropriately for our 60+ age group. All abilities are catered for and alternative ways of doing exercises suggested for those with mobility issues. Each class is a combination of breathing and yoga exercises, followed by a short guided meditation; each session building on what we have done before. As a 78 year old woman, recently widowed, I know that the yoga exercise is enabling me to keep supple and physically active and that the breathing and meditation techniques have been, and are, invaluable in supporting my emotional wellbeing. I only took up yoga two years ago - Sue is so warm and caring, the classes are fun and regularly meeting up with other people, many friendships made, is a bonus.

I was so grateful to have found Sue's yoga class. Sue extends such a warm welcome and calmness at each session. She is very supportive and every session is calming and restful. I always leave the class feeling stronger and more at ease with daily life. I can't recommend Sue highly enough to anyone wanting to reconnect with themselves and to learn about and do the different yoga moves and poses for their own health and wellbeing.

Sue you have helped save me these last few years. My doctor and the pain clinic both advised me to find something to help me relax. Joining your yoga class did just that, your empathy and excellent teaching methods have helped me deal with the loss of my Mum and healthy issues. I think your calm relaxing voice should be on a recording and teaching video. Thank you from a very grateful pupil 🙏

As a cyclist I was looking for a activity that would undo the stresses of cycling on my body. Sue's yoga was just the thing. She helped me loosen my joints and muscles and sort out years of sitting in a fixed riding position. Highly recommended.

I've been a keen participant at Sue's Sunday yoga classes for about three years. Her classes are always well planned and organised and her relaxing lessons follow a theme. Sue takes into account everyone's individual needs and abilities. Please feel free to alter/amend/delete anything.

“Sue’s yoga is wonderful. The class which I attend, aimed at people of a certain age, mixes breathing, stretching and relaxation. Sue always reassures us that yoga isn’t a competition and reminds us that we must all listen to our bodies and work within our personal comfort range. Following this guidance I feel that I have made steady progress in my aim to become more flexible and improve my balance. Having stretched and posed, I’m always ready for the last fifteen minutes of the session during which Sue leads us through some amazing relaxation during the shavasana part of the class., ensuring that everybody leaves the class deeply relaxed and ready for the day ahead.

“Sue has a gift for creating a peaceful and welcoming environment. Her calm and soothing voice helps me immediately de-stress as soon as the class begins. I love the incorporation of movement and mediation which has made a huge difference in my overall well-being outside the class

I just want to say how much I enjoy yoga with you. The manner in which you encourage your students and praise us, is wonderful. You always emphasise that yoga shouldn't hurt and if the position is hurting, we are to return to an earlier position or another posture altogether. As our bodies can vary from day to day, I love the fact that you offer ways to increase or deepen the stretch should we want to challenge ourselves a little more. The meditation at the end of the session is always so relaxing that when the sessions finishes, I'd rather stay. Thank you for being such a caring, kind and wonderful teacher (yogi?).

Sue Jones has a lovely voice and a capacity to induce quite a deep meditation in a relatively short time. I come out of them feeling profoundly relaxed, at peace with the world and float on through the rest of my day! ❤️

' I cannot recommend Sue's approach to Yoga teaching too highly. I had tried to develop a Yoga practice over the years but it never quite bedded in. I attended Sue's U3A classes and her approach resonated with me. I have now been practising with her for over three years and have benefited enormously. If your thinking about practising Yoga see Sue! Thank you Sue.
